Gilbert Climbs Rankings at Mel Zajac International


Andrea Gilbert got the Killer Whales off on the right foot on the first day of competition at the Mel Zajac International Swim Meet at UBC this morning. Her time of 2:33.63 was a LC best time by over three seconds and a best converted time of about one second. She placed 32nd overall, moving up 5 spots from her ranking going into preliminaries. Later this morning, Kyron Winkelmeyer will test the waters in the men's 100 Breaststroke. In his heat this morning are National Team members on their way to the World Championships in Montreal Mike Brown and Matthew Huang. Winkelmeyer will be looking to compete with them in the morning and earn a spot in tonights final. Live and real time results can be found here.
