Day 2 Preliminaries

Day 2 brought some more great performances to the Killer Whales Swim Club. Morgan Healy started us off with a very strong 5:42 for her 400 freestyle and we got going from there. Kirsten Rowbotham and Amberle Bakker will be representing the girls in the 13 and 14 200 breaststroke final while Brock Hoyt and Alec Page will be carrying the banner for the guys, making the final in the 15 and over and 11 and 12 boys 200 breast final respectively. Marisa Gorjeu sneaked into finals with her strong 100 backstroke in the 11 and 12 girls age group. Aven Preston ended up as the alternate in the girls 200 breast and Andrea Gilbert was the alternate in the girls 15 and over 100 backstroke. 200 IM's are in progress and Kirsten Rowbotham, Tyson Berkenstock and Brock Hoyt have turned in the strongest performances in that event.

Tonight will also see 4 relays compete for spots in the top 8 with the 11 and 12 girls team of Aven Preston, Marisa Gorjeu, Taylor Padington and Morgan Healy having the best shot at a medal, going in ranked 3rd in the event. More results after finals - stay tuned!!!
