Preston to join team at Canadian Club Nationals

Aven Preston has been seeking a club national qualifying time for a while now. But before this mornings preliminary session, she knew that she had a chance if she swam her best race...and she did. Her time of 33.16 in the girls 50 meter fly was .24 under the standard and will get the 12 year old to the Canadian Club National Championships in Winnipeg in late July. Her and Marisa Gorjeu went head to head and in the end Preston was the victor with Gorjeu coming agonizingly close with a clocking of 33.61, only .21 over the standard of 33.40.
