National Qualifier joins Killer Whales Pod
Kyron Winkelmeyer, formerly of Fort Nelson, BC, has officially joined the Killer Whales Swim Club as the fourth member of our successful Senior Program. Kyron, who just finished his freshman year with the NAIA champion Simon Fraser University Clansmen Swimming Program is an Electrical Engineering Major and is a breaststroke specialist. His Short Course times of 1:04.33 for the 100 breaststroke and 29.97 for the 50 breaststroke placed him 7th at last Novembers Canadian Open National Championships. Kyron will be coaching summer swimming in town and is here to train through the summer in preparation for the 2006 Commonwealth Games Trials to be held in November 2005.
