Battle lines drawn for tonight’s finals at 2005 World Aquatic Championship Trials

MONTREAL-There could be some close battles in tonight’s finals for world team spots after several solid performances in the preliminaries Friday morning at the 2005 World Aquatic Championship Trials in swimming being held this week at the Claude-Robillard Centre.

In the women’s 100 freestyle prelims, Jenna Gresdal of Toronto was first in 56.32 with Laura Nicholls of Toronto second in 56.71 while Victoria Poon of Montreal and Sophie Simard of Quebec City tied for third at 56.92. The qualifying standard in 56.01. Read more here.
