Calgary’s Erin Gammel breaks Canadian record qualifies for worlds at swimming trials

<>MONTREAL- Erin Gammel of Calgary broke her Canadian record in the women’s 100-metre backstroke Wednesday and earned a spot on the world team at the 2005 World Aquatic Championship Trials in swimming being held this week at the Claude-Robillard Centre.

Five new names were added to the world team after Wednesday’s performances bringing to 12 the number of Canadian swimmers qualified for the 2005 World Aquatic Championship July 17-31 in Montreal. More here.
